Our Spike Aeration, Overseeding, and Fertilization service is designed to enhance lawn density, promote healthier growth, and improve soil conditions. Using specialized equipment, we aerate the soil to allow oxygen, water, and nutrients to reach the root system while evenly distributing premium-quality seed. Applied at the Cornell-recommended rate of 4 lbs per 1,000 sq. ft., this process effectively thickens an existing lawn, creating a natural barrier against weeds. However, it does not repair large bare spots or heavily damaged areas—for those, we recommend contacting us for a customized estimate. We use a Kentucky Bluegrass & Rye mix for sunny areas and a Dense Shade Fescue mix for shaded areas, with germination typically occurring within 3 to 5 weeks, depending on weather conditions. Cold weather will not harm the seed, as it will germinate once temperatures rise. If topsoil is needed, please arrange for it to be spread before our service for optimal results. If you have an irrigation system, now is the time to mark your sprinkler heads.
This service provides comprehensive care to maintain a lush, healthy lawn. This service includes targeted applications of Crabgrass Pre-Emergence, Weed Controls, and Organic Fertilizers to enhance turf health and resilience. The Pre-Emergence treatment acts as a protective barrier, preventing the germination of most annual grasses, including crabgrass and goosegrass, ensuring a cleaner, more uniform lawn.
Please note that seeding cannot be performed until fall unless a thin layer of topsoil is applied beforehand. This ensures optimal seed establishment and long-term lawn health.
This service is designed to protect and enhance your lawn throughout the season. This service includes fertilization to promote healthy growth, Grub and Insect Control to safeguard against damaging pests, and Weed Control targeting broadleaf weeds such as Dandelions, Clover, Ground Ivy, and Creeping Charlie. Additionally, Fungus Control is applied to treat active fungal issues, including Red Thread and Dollar Spot, helping to prevent the spread and allowing the affected areas to recover over time.
Our Organic Fertilizers further enrich the soil, strengthening the lawn’s root system for long-term health and resilience. Lawn stress from fungal disease, insect activity, or environmental factors is common, and temporary discoloration may occur as the lawn recovers. However, improvement will be gradual and noticeable throughout the season.
This service is designed to optimize your lawn’s health and ensure ideal conditions for successful seeding. This treatment includes targeted Weed Control to eliminate broadleaf weeds, Fungus Control to address lawn diseases such as Red Thread and Dollar Spot, and Organic Fertilizers to promote recovery, strengthen root systems, and enhance resilience. By restoring balance to your lawn, this service creates the perfect foundation for a thick, healthy turf in the upcoming fall season.
