Premier Late Spring

What We Did Today

Today we performed your Premier Early Summer Service to help your lawn stay strong as temperatures rise and insect activity increases. During this visit, we applied a premium early‑summer feeding to support steady growth and color, provided insect protection to help prevent turf damage, and spot‑treated any active broadleaf weeds we found. If fungus was visible at the time of service, we spot‑treated those areas to help stop it from spreading and thinning the lawn.

What Products Were Applied

To complete today’s service, we used professional products and calibrated equipment for even coverage and precise targeting:

  • Allectus (granular fertilizer with insect control) to feed the lawn and provide protection against lawn‑damaging insects during the early summer window.

  • SpeedZone (selective broadleaf weed control) spot‑sprayed where weeds were present.

  • Banner MAXX (fungicide) spot‑treated only where fungus was visible at the time of service.

Application equipment:

  • Permagreen ride‑on spreader/sprayer

    • Granular product applied with a consistent 16‑foot spread width per pass for uniform coverage.

    • Weed control applied with a low‑drift spray system, adjustable from wider coverage (up to ~16 feet) down to tight, controlled areas (around ~1 foot) along edges and obstacles.

How To Care For Your Lawn Now

Watering (standard schedule):

  • Water your lawn 2–3 times per week for about 10–20 minutes per zone (adjust based on sun/shade, slope, rainfall, and how quickly your soil dries). This encourages deeper roots and better summer durability.

Important (weed control dry time):

  • If weed control was applied, allow it to dry for at least 1 hour before watering.

Mowing:

  • Normal mowing is fine (including your landscaper mowing tomorrow).

  • For best summer performance, keep mowing height on the higher side (about 3–3.5"+) and avoid scalping.

Traffic:

  • Normal use is fine, but if you have any thin or stressed areas, minimizing heavy wear in those spots helps them recover faster.

What To Expect Next

Here’s what’s normal after this visit:

  • Fertilizer response: You’ll usually see a gradual improvement in color and growth over the next 1–2 weeks, depending on temperature and moisture.

  • Insect protection: This is mostly preventative, so you won’t “see” it working right away — the benefit shows later by reducing the chance of turf damage from insects as summer progresses.

  • Weed control: Weeds we treated may start showing changes (curling, discoloration, wilting) within several days, with continued decline over the next 7–14 days depending on the weed and weather.

  • Fungus areas: If fungus was treated, the goal is to stop active spread. Existing damage doesn’t instantly disappear — the lawn typically improves as healthy grass grows in and is mowed over time. Some fungus problems can require additional treatments closer together than standard service spacing if weather stays hot/humid.

Fequently Asked Questions about the Premier Spring Seeding

Yes. As a general rule, keep children and pets off the lawn after the application and until the treated areas are completely dry or the product has been watered in.

Yes, that’s completely fine. Mowing the next day will not hurt the treatment. For best results, we recommend the grass is dry when it’s cut and that your landscaper doesn’t scalp the lawn (keeping the mowing height on the higher side is better for lawn health).

That’s normal. The weed controls we used starts working quickly, but most weeds take 7–21 days to fully die, and some tougher types may take a bit longer or need a follow‑up spot treatment. If weeds are twisted, curled, or discolored, the product is already doing its job.

Fungicides don’t “erase” old damage; they stop the disease activity so the plant can recover. What you should see is less spreading and fewer new spots after treatment. For lawns more prone to fungus more than one fungicide application may be needed.

Yes. Many lawn treatments don’t leave a visible “film” on the grass. Granular products settle into the turf and soil, and liquid treatments are applied as a fine spray that dries quickly. You’ll typically notice results over time, gradual green-up from fertilizer and weed decline over the next 7–14 days depending on the weeds and weather.

In most cases, rain is not a problem. Light to moderate rainfall is often helpful, especially for granular applications, because it helps move the product into the soil. If heavy rain occurs immediately after treatment, results can vary slightly on slopes or areas with runoff, but your program includes future visits to monitor the lawn and address any issues that appear.

DIMENSION is a pre‑emergent herbicide, so seeding too soon into treated soil can prevent your grass seed from establishing. The label recommends waiting about 12 weeks after application before reseeding or overseeding.
